PL100 - The fastest ammo assembly machine in the world (maybe..)

We are proud to  annunce that we are developing an ammo plate loader working at 4 sec/plate with outstandig throughput : 1500 cartridges/min*.

Using a totally new concept, we started solving the problem to manage production plates automatically, from one station to other, adding and removing plates if necessary, loading and unloading components and without limiting us for the process itself. That has produced a plate managing structure independent of the process and possible to apply to any production chain that fits the plate.

From priming to packaging. Build as a modular machine, using 99% of standard components for easy repair and maintenance. It allows to modify the process just changing the working units with a minimum set up. It allows also the use of redundant working stations to increase speed or make changes even faster, activating and desactivating the proper units.

Inspired as a fractal design, all the units and machines are scalable and repeating a constant pattern that allows grow the system as needed. Starting with 4 up to 12 stations per machine and the possibility to link machines with no limits, except the footprint needed (of course).

Open design, allowing to anyone to develop their own working stations to fit their particular needs. The information about mechanical features, signals  and schematics are open to be used by any engineering and/or maintenance department.

The working units for ammo loading we have designed solve most of the issues of comparable load plates:

  • Priming of full plate externally or within the assembly process at the same production rate (**).
  • Electronic control for powder drop, to adjust the load with accuracy and adapt it to powder changes of density or burning speed (**).
  • Contact less testing for powder drop, bullet presence and orientation, primer presence, orientation or anvil presence, using exactly the same device with a diferent preset in function of the fact to be detected (**).
  • Automatic bullet feeder, with integrated orientation bullet check while falling that avoids upside-down assembly (**).

The first full functional machine will be ready by 2n quarter 2025, meanwhile you can enjoy with some of the tests done by now:
